Patrick J Maia

Somers, CT-Patrick Joseph Maia, age 46, of Somers CT passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 5, 2020. He was born in Springfield MA on April 3, 1973. Patrick’s warmth and love of life were both infectious and reassuring to all who knew him. He always was eager and able to make people laugh and feel comfortable around him even on first meeting.

Patrick was a devoted father to Troy Maia of Somers CT and Mikayla Maia of Enfield CT. He also leaves his Mother Denise Maia and her partner Michael Thomas of Monson MA and Father Edward Maia also of Monson MA. He leaves a sister Elizabeth Cardaropoli and her husband Jesse of Monson and a brother Mark Maia and his partner Allison Reed of Somers CT. Two Nephews Mark Anthony and Alex Maia of Somers. Patrick was an avid sports fan who was very involved in his son and nephew’s sports teams. Patrick was recently retired from the Connecticut Department of Corrections and was starting a new career in construction at the time of his death. He will be greatly missed by his family, and many friends.

Calling hours will be held in Lombard Funeral Home 3 Bridge St. Monson, MA from 3-6pm Tuesday, March 10, 2020 followed by a brief service at 6pm to conclude the visitation.  Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
