R. Samuel Seymour Obituary

Easthampton- Robert Samuel Seymour, 74, passed away Saturday, July 17, 2021 in his home.  Sam was born in Watertown, NY April 6, 1947 to the late James E. and Edith (Tufo) Seymour. He was raised in Holyoke and was a graduate of Holyoke High School.  For many years he made his home in Holyoke with his loving wife Ilene and their children before moving to Easthampton. Sam worked at Autron and Westvaco Manufacturing Company before retiring from Spalding in Chicopee. Sam enjoyed fishing and gardening.  He could often be found outside tending to his gardens and puttering in the yard.  Sam loved traveling to the casinos with his wife who would always tell him, he was her good luck charm.  He was always up for a cup of coffee and a crossword puzzle.
Sam was predeceased by his loving wife of 53 years, Ilene A. (Blanchette) Seymor in September of 2020 and their son Anthony J. Seymour.  He leaves a son, Gregory Seymour and his partner Krista Brueno of Easthampton; his sister, Sally A. Cote of Belchertown; a brother, Sonny Seymour and his wife Jean; his aunt, Alice Guimond; his nieces, Brenda (Cote) Gendron and  Tammy Cruz and her husband Ron, and their daughters Kathryn, Brittney and Meagen Cruz, and extended family and friends.
