Richard Dennis Bergeron

Three Rivers- Richard “Birdy” Dennis Bergeron, 68, of Three Rivers passed away on Thursday, January 20, 2022. Born in Palmer on September 26, 1953 he was the son of the late Maurice and Tarsylla (Lengowski) Bergeron. Richard attended Palmer High School and proudly served as an active duty infantryman achieving the rank of corporal in the United States Army. After leaving active duty, he served many years in the Massachusetts National Guard. He was an avid Detroit Tigers fan and loved fantasy sports, especially football. Richard was a member of the St. Stanislaus Polish Club. He worked as a steel worker for Springfield Moulders Inc, Church Seat Company, and most recently, Jarvis East. After retiring from Jarvis East, he enjoyed working as the bar manager at St. Stanislaus in Three River. He leaves his two loving children, Stacey Lee Ross of Monson and Scott Allen Bergeron and his wife Samantha Berry-Bergeron of Palmer; three sisters, Denise Maurice and her husband Ed of Lehigh Acres, FL, Andrea Bergeron of Lehigh Acres, FL, and Cheryl Bergeron of Springfield, Illinois; four grandchildren, Randall Roberge Jr, Jason Ross, and Victoria Robidoux all of Monson, and Madison Elizabeth Clough of Ware; nieces, Tiffani Maurice and Mandy Freites of Naples, FL; and many close friends. Richard will be greatly missed by all his loving family and friends. A memorial service for Birdy will be held on Sunday, February 6, 2022 at 3pm at Lombard Funeral Home, 3 Bridge St, Monson. Visitation will precede the service from 1-3pm. Burial with military honors will take place privately and at a later date.
