Steven J. Webster

Monson-Steven J. Webster, 68, passed away Monday, November 27, 2023.  Steve was born September 30, 1955 in Palmer, MA to the late Ethelbert James and Edith (Moulton) Webster. He was a 1973 graduate of Monson Jr.-Sr. High School.  He later continued his education and received a Bachelor’s degree from University of Massachusetts in History and a Bachelor’s degree in English.  Steve retired after many years as a direct care aide.

Steve was passionate about hiking and backpacking.  He climbed all of the 100 highest mountains and many others in New England.  Steve also climbed many of the high peaks in the Adirondacks and Catskills in New York.   One of Steve’s other passions was spending as much time in the summer hanging out at swimming holes.  He was always concerned about the environment and conservation issues.

Steve leaves his brother Paul R. Webster of Ojai, California and many cousins and friends.

Lombard Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements. An hour of visitation will be held on Monday, December 4, 2023 from 10:00 – 11:00am with a concluding Celebration of life at 11:00am. Burial will be private.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to  The Trustees of Reservations.
