Susan L (Bliss) Hagen

Wales- Susan L. (Bliss) Hagen, 72, passed away Tuesday, January 4, 2022 in Worcester surrounded by love of family.  Susan was born August 19, 1949 in Stafford, CT, to the late Raymond and Dorothy Bliss.  She grew up in Wales and attended the Wales Baptist Church in her youth. She was a graduate of Tantasqua High School and retired after 29 years from the Massachusetts State Police as an Executive Administrator of Troop "C" in Sturbridge.  She  spent much of her time as a single Mom raising her children and grandchildren. After retirement she enjoyed being a "snowbird" to Florida.  Susan was a member of Crossway Christian Church in Three Rivers and a volunteer for the Wales Open Pantry. She also coordinated and  volunteered for "TOYS FOR TOTS" through the MSP. She enjoyed Christmas, beach trips, family trips to NY,crafting, quilting and every year shared her talents constructing ginger bread houses with her best friend and grandchildren.

Susan leaves her son, Daniel J. Hagen Jr and his wife Shauna of Holland; three grandchildren, Desiree, Timothy and Samantha; a sister, Janice Robbins and her husband Lee; her lifelong friends, Gayle Palmer, Susan Greany and Carolynn Haley; her former husband, Robert Blomgren, along with many nieces, nephews and friends.  Susan was predeceased by her husband, Daniel J. Hagen, her daughter, Melissa A. Hagen and a brother Glenn S. Bliss.

Lombard Funeral Home of Monson has been entrusted with the arrangements.  A memorial service will be held at a later date.
