Vincent Gatto

Monson -Vincent Gatto, 77, passed away, December 21, 2023 surrounded by the love of family. Vincent was born in Hartford, CT  August 18, 1946, to the late Frank M. and Rita (LaBelle) Gatto. He was a high school graduate of East Hartford High School. He put his further education to use as a welder early in his career and later became a sheet metal fabricator and HVAC Foreman.  For many years he was a "tin knocker" for Berkshire Heating and Air Conditioning and retired a proud member of the Sheet Metal Workers Union Local 63.  He grew up in East Hartford and spent many years in the Enfield area before eventually moving to Monson which became his forever home.  He enjoyed many weekends at Westview Farms and Monson Pizza, and could be found starting conversations daily at Woodbines, Adams, Monson Savings and the post office where he made many local friends. He loved watching New England Sports teams, cooking, cartoons, crosswords and classic rock. In his younger years, he spent time saltwater fishing, small game hunting, riding motorcycles and sitting on the beach.

Vincent leaves behind his daughters, Jennifer Gioiosi and her husband Nick of East Longmeadow, with whom he lived, Meagan Gatto of Bondsville; a son, Jason Gatto of Enfield; his beloved grandchildren, Tyler Gatto, Briley LaBossiere, Brodie LaBossiere, Taleiya Pena, Sophie Pena and Lincoln Gioiosi. Vincent was predeceased by his son, Christopher Gatto.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Lombard Funeral Home of Monson. Visiting hours will be held in the funeral home Thursday, December 28, 2023 from 4:30-6:30pm with a Celebration of Life to conclude the evening at 6:30pm.
