Jane A. (Arthur) Bowden

Wales- Jane M. (Arthur) Bowden, 88, died Monday, May 30, 2016 surrounded by the love of family.  Jane was born in Kent, Ohio July 29, 1927 to the late Walter Arthur and Lillian ( Horvath) Arthur Shanaberger. Jane has been a resident of Wales since 1969 and retired from the Recreation Department of Monson Developmental Center.  She was a communicant of St Christopher's Church in Brimfield, was active with the jail ministry, Wales Community Theater group, Wales Cable Access, and also enjoyed bell ringing.  

Jane was predeceased by her husband Michael W. Bowden in December 2015.  Jane leaves her daughters Cynthia Dolan and her husband James of Warren, Lisa Malsbury and her husband Kevin of Monson; a sister Carol Smith of Florida; seven grandchildren, Tracy, Nicolaus, Patrick, Stephanie, Natalie, Rosemary and Michael and seven great grandchildren.  Jane was also predeceased by her sons Patrick Green, Stephen Green, Thomas Green and her twin sister Joan DelVecchio.

Visiting hours will be held Thursday, June 2, 2016 from 4-7pm at Lombard Funeral Home in Monson.  Liturgy of Christian Burial will be Friday, June 3, 2016, beginning at 9am at Lombard Funeral Home and Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10am in St. Christopher's Church in Brimfield with burial to follow at Wales #4 Cemetery on Laurel Hill Rd in Wales.  Memorial contributions may be made to Shriners Hospital for Children 516 Carew Street Springfield, MA 01104.
